Hosted by the China Association of Chinese Medicine (CACM) and People.cn, and co-organised by Infinitus (China) Company Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Infinitus”), a member of LKK Health Products Group, the Health Responsibility Forum 2018 et the Launch Conference of the China's National TCM Health Index Report 2017 (hereinafter referred to as the “Report”) took place in Beijing on 23 May 2018. On the basis of the Healthy China initiative, the forum discussed the responsibilities in health and explored the roles played by the government, associations, experts, media and enterprises.
At the forum, Mr. Daning Li, former Deputy Director of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine of China, emphasised that the national health should be regarded as a strategic priority. According to him, the health industry in the future will cover various fields such as life sciences, TCM life-nurturing knowledge, psychology, sociology, as well as some emerging industries including Internet of Things and cloud platforms. It will boost many new interdisciplinary, cross-domain or cross-industry businesses. So the health industry definitely owns a bright future.
Mr. Ping Liu, Deputy Secretary General of CACM, and Mr. Huang Jianlong, Senior Vice President of Infinitus (China), jointly signed and issued the report. Studying the four aspects of diet, rest, exercise and emotion from an angle of TCM, the report analyses the health status of Chinese citizens and influential factors. The Report also offers practical advice that could be applied in daily life, allowing readers to clearly understand and consciously improve their health condition.
According to the Report, the China's national TCM health index 2017 is 64.6, a notably increase compared to 2016, but the room for improvement still exists for the half of the population suffering from diverse diseases or in the semi-health state.
Mr. Jianlong Huang stated, "If we say the theory of TCM belongs to the wisdom of the East, and the measure of indexing belongs to methodologies of the West, then the China's national TCM health index announced today is a combination of the two in a way that they complete each other and create new value."
Regarding the forum theme, Infinitus reckons the enterprises should broaden their thinking, make use of their own advantages and resources, leverage innovation ideas, patterns and practices to drive the development and upgrade of the whole health industry chain.
